We’ve polished the design of Phone Link on your PC by updating the app’s interface to complement Microsoft’s Windows 11 design language. With that, we're introducing Microsoft Phone Link as the PC app experience, and Link to Windows as our mobile app for Android devices. Our latest evolution brings a new name to unify the experience for all our users. Over the course of this journey, we’ve carefully listened to your feedback and we’ve used it to continue evolving our app experiences. Since then, we’ve embarked on bringing all the important capabilities and content from your Android phone to your Windows PC. The Phone Link app is only available on PCs running Windows 10 or Windows 11.It’s been an exciting journey since we first announced the Your Phone and Your Phone Companion apps back in October 2018. You'll be prompted to accept permissions instead of matching codes to link your devices. To try again, close and reopen the Phone Link app on your PC, and begin the setup process from there instead. My codes don't match, so I can't link my phoneįor security reasons, too many failed attempts (more than 3) to match the codes on your PC and phone will automatically prevent you from linking your devices. You can now use the Link to Windows app to scan the QR code. When you receive the prompt for Is there a QR code on your PC?, tap it, and then select Allow to let the Link to Windows app take pictures and record videos. If you've started linking your devices from your PC, you'll be asked to scan a QR code during the setup process. If your issue isn't addressed below, try the Phone Link app troubleshooting page. Make sure your PC and Android device are both nearby, turned on, and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
